Stop by the Northeast Sunday Parkways route in September 23 for a full day of fun! The Northeast event will run from 11 am - 4 pm and provide 8 miles of walking, biking and rolling amusement. While you make your way around the Northeast Portland route, don’t forget to stop by Woodlawn, Alberta, and Fernhill Parks where a collection of fun activities, festive music, and delicious food that awaits you.

Offered by Alameda historian Dough Decker this walking tour will Learn neighborhood history, architectural styles and the secret stairs. Maybe even learn about your home.

Get tickets! $20 or $12 for Architectural Heritage Center members

Take an enjoyable stroll back through time to examine the events, forces and players that shaped this northeast Portland neighborhood. The walk will trace a portion of the old Broadway Streetcar line as it highlights Alameda’s prolific home builders and architectural styles. The stories you’ll hear will help you better understand the layers of history that give Alameda such distinction.

Free Music Event: Mark Kroos--Flight Attempt

Free concert Sunday! Award-winning 2-neck guitarist Mark Koose will be performing July 22 at 4:00 pm at Fremont United Methodist Church 2620 NE Fremont. Mark Kroos plays 2 guitar necks at the same time in a primarily instrumental style characterized by Folk, Celtic and Bluegrass influence with a highly explosive live performance. Mark is the winner of Guitar Player Magazine's 2011 International Competition. Concert is free though donations will be accepted.

And! FUMC has air conditioning...come enjoy the music!

Tired of the "old school" playground at Wilshire Park? Join the Friends of Wilshire Park June 20th as they talk with city officials about possibilities for Bond funds to refresh the children's play area. Your input is needed!

June 20 at Bethany Lutheran Church at 7:00 p.m. The church is located at 4330 NE 37th Ave, Portland, OR 97211, at the northeast corner of Wilshire Park.
